• Nelaton catheter are used for short term bladder catheterization.
• Nelaton catheter can be used in a routine medical procedure that facilitates direct drainage of the urinary bladder. Catheters may be inserted as an in-and-out procedure for immediate drainage, left in with a self-retaining device for short-term drainage (eg, during surgery), or left indwelling for long-term drainage for patients with chronic urinary retention.
• Manufactured from non-toxic, non-irritant medical grade PVC compatible with catheter lubricants.
• The urethral catheter has a smooth, rounded and closed thermoformed tip.
• Frozen surface tubing for super smooth intubation.
• Distal end is coned for non traumatic introduction with two lateral eyes for efficient drainage.
• Proximal end is fitted with universal funnel shaped connector for extension.
• Non-opposing lateral eyes improve flow efficiency and reduce risk of blockage.
• Funnel shape connectors are color coded for instant identification of sizes.
